Hi! I'm Sam
I'm a graphic designer and illustrator currently living in Greenville, SC with my two cats, Gec and Ko. I have a passion for branding, illustration, and bad jokes. I currently work at a full-service agency (RCMA) and hold a BFA in Illustration from The Savannah College of Art and Design (class of 2020). My goal as a creative is to create new and unique work with a broad and meaningful reach. I'm always looking for opportunities to grow as a creative professional, and meet new people and clients!
My Story

For as long as I can remember, drawing has been one of my biggest passions. When I first saw the Gorillaz album Demon Days, that passion only grew stronger. It kicked off my obsession with Jamie Hewlett’s art and marked the moment I decided to take my creative path more seriously. After a few twists, turns, and more high school art classes than I probably needed, I eventually found myself walking through the doors of the Savannah College of Art and Design.
My time at SCAD started in the world of concept art for video games, but by my second year I shifted towards publication. I realized I wasn't in love with creating environments, and that decision opened the door to a more design-focused world. It clicked with me right away. I got to keep my foundation in illustration, and it's something I'm still proud to bring to the table today!

I graduated in the unforgettable year of 2020. With the world and the job market falling apart, it quickly became clear that my chances of landing illustration work were slim. Luckily, I had design in my back pocket. I leaned into it fully and landed my first full-time role on the marketing team of a social media startup in Charleston, called Tallo.

These days, I’m the Lead Graphic Designer at RedHype Creative Marketing (RCMA) in Greenville, SC. It’s been the perfect place to lean into my passion for branding and continue growing as a designer, a collaborative creative, and a leader. I’ve had the chance to shape visual identities, guide creative direction, and keep pushing my skills forward with every project that comes through the door.
